The TCEO is a multidisciplinary technology club that is working to bring together electronics, robotics, computer, radio, audio, and RC hobbyists from throughout Eastern Oregon, Idaho, and South East Washington.  There are dozens, perhaps hundreds of people living in the rural parts of the northwest that have a keen interest in these technologies, but are unable to communicate with or meet others of like mind, because of the distances involved or the feelings of isolation brought on from being so far from technological civilization and its resources.      The Club is brand new; we were planning to have our first monthly meeting in the summer of 2011, but absolutely no prospective members have come forward.  Here's hoping for a better response in 2012! Once sufficient momentum is built up, we will look to establish a clubhouse, a regular  calendar of events (both for members, and the public), discount bargaining with parts and supplies distributors, a social structure, and we will work collectively toward developing our club into a vibrant and vital hub for people who have these diverse interests but don't know where to look.      Those who would like to join the club, should read the club functions, goals, and policies, and then go to the [Join the TCEO] link to email in their application.
